Hello I know I'm crazy, but I have a project to develop an information protocol.
http://www.aqualifestyle-france.com/t7777-protocol-information-apteronotus-albifrons#71541

I need your experience for questions :

- Observed if mortality is too high in aquarium.
- I need to know the growth rate of the species.
- Observed whether the species develops signs of dwarfism in aquariums.

All forums and professionals who will help me if the wish their name and link to their site in the subject.

this topic was created to help Apteronotus albifrons

Anecdotally I raised one from 2.5" to 14" in 16 months. Any fish can be stunted by life in an aquarium if proper maintenance isn't performed.

thank you, I just added your experience on the subject of the Protocol on the Apertonotus albifrons.

I also add the link to the site.

In what volume, you kept this fish?
Your apteronotus albifrons is still alive?
Could you give us a growth rate. (more info, please).

The fish was in a 29 gal tank. I traded the fish is when it got that big, and this was 12 years ago. I couldn't give a more specific breakdown on the growth rate. Sorry!

Thank you, even if you do not have the growth rate, your information is very interesting.

What food you gave him?

What is frequency of water change?

What are the filtration equipment and oxygenation that you had in the 29 gallons.

Do you have a photo of the aquarium with the fish?

I wish they stayed smaller, they have the most adorable little faces! I have nothing useful to add though, I've never had a tank big enough to keep one.

hello taari
All experience is interesting, you just communicate.
If your fish is dead you should speak to why he died.
