What are your water parameters-ammonia, nitrate, nitrite, salinity?

What is the tank temp?

Other tank mates?

What is your water change schedule/ammount?

How was the skin lost?

What is your tank size?

How long have you had him/her?

If he is still alive, try an air stone to help oxygenate the water. A water change may also help.

Without knowing when such started and if caused by other tankmates or even by tubing while remivng water from the tank, it is hard to sya what we can do to help. At least you can isolate by using large breeding trap/net/plastic carbon jar with many many holes for ciculation. This is to make sure no other tankmates make it any worse.

I have used Bacitracin Ointment on all of my locally caught marine fishes for external injuries/infections with hgh success rates. Use glove if and when possible.

Hope all goes well.
