I'm interested in setting up a small saltwater aquarium. I was wondering what were some of the primary differences between saltwater and freshwater, and what equipment do I need for saltwater? What type/size of tank would be the best? Could, for example, I have a reef with corals and fish in a 20 gallon

Differences: corals, NH3, NO2 and N03 are more toxic, live rock, live sand, turnover rate should be higher, DSB, BB, SSB.

Equipment, Protein skimmer, Lighting (Metal halide is best option IMO), heater, powerheads, RO/DI unit, testkits.

Bigger the tank the better.
