Hydor Koralia Evolution powerhead is too loud

I just bought a new 750gph Hydor koralia evo for my new 55 gallon tank, and it is makeing a loud humming sound. From other reviews I read they said it's almost silent, but mine way too loud. Do they get quiet as time goes by?

Mine was loud for a few days then it just went quiet. Wait a few days to see if it is still loud. I can't hear anything from mine now and they are in my room. Also, I tried moving the koralia around in the tank and it went quieter, closer to the bottom of the tank.

Check that the cover/safety screen is correctly mounted. The impeller shaft is supposed to be held in the proper position by the cover.

Also make sure it is fully submerged.
