I think I am doing something wrong please help!

Its a 10 gallon tank.

I appreciate all of the help I will do a water change when I get home from work.

do you have an idea of when I will start to see evidence of nitrites

In my 5 gallon it took 8 weeks to see nitrites and then they dropped within a week. My water is now perfect with weekly water changes. Be patient!!

Is this a common occurance with smaller tanks?
