SO on the local forum this guy I have bought many fish from posted his current list. Since he sells mostly Tangs I didn't recognize most of the names so I did some google searching. Well 90% of the fish he posted I can't keep since my Tang tank is not large enough but he did post one species that I fell in love with. Chalinochromis brichardi sounded familiar enough but when I looked up the pictures I LOVED the black mask. What an interesting fish! Could I keep just 1? I know how brichardi are when breeding and it would be nice to avid it.
Please say I can keep one lol.

For curiosity sake here's the rest of the list:

3 Lamprologus calvus white Chaitika 1" $5
10 Julidochromis dickfeldi 1.5"+ $5.00
8-10 1" yellow calvus $6 each or 6 for $30
15 Chalinochromis brichardi 1.25"+ $6 each or 6 for $30
12 Cyprichromis leptosoma Kekese Blue 1.5" $7 each
15 Lamprologus calvus Inkfin 1.25" $6 each or 6 for $30
10 Lamprologus compressiceps red Lufubu 1.75" $10 each
10 Lamprologus melegrise 1" $6 each
6 Lamprologus nigraventris 1" $14 each
15 Lamprologus ocellatus Gold 1" $6 each
15 Lethrinops albus Kande 2" $7 each
5 Lamprologus ornatipinnis Kigoma .75 $5 each
5 Ophthalmotilapia ventralis kapemba $30 for all
Psuedotropheus white top hara 1"-1.5" $3 each or 10 for $25
Psuedotropheus saulosi 1" $3 each

I have a bunch of very small peacocks. .5"-1". Ngara, beanschi and eureka red. $1 each minimum 10.

Beanschi male 2"-3" $12 each. Colored. 2" Females $4 each

I would say u are ok with a single...Brichardi are usually pretty decent on the aggression scale unless breeding like u mentioned. I have seen a few people keep brichardi with mbuna, but breeding is the problem. With 1, u may be ok. I am not positive, as its not my expertise.... I would get it, integrate a SINGLE, and watch for a while to make sure everything works out. Worst case is he doesnt work out, and u know better for next time.

Yeah this is different than a Neolamprologus brichardi/ pulcher. Hmm I might try it out. maybe when I pick up my synos I'll ask about them a bit too. Actually if one became too much of a terror there is always the option of going to hang out with my mbuna :D
