I like the heat treatment method, according to http://www.aquahobby.com/articles/e_ich2.php at 86F, it won't affect any other fish I used this to treat the ich outbreak in my 55 gallon, except only just used the heat up to 89-90F, and water changes every day. No fancy filters, salt, or meds. And with in a week or so everyone was good
