I have a Aponogeton think its ulvaceus and its a large plant . I want to remove it and replant in new home .

problem is the root system its huge can i trim it so i can easily replant it ( trim the roots )

Yes you can and should trim the roots. That'll stimulate new growth and help it get established in a new place.

Trim the roots so the bulb and roots will fit under under the substrate. Also, trim the leaves and leave just one or two newer leaves because the bare root plant won't be able to sustain a lot of leaves. It will sprout new roots and continue leafing out.
