A full grown "shark" (they're actually a catfish) wouldn't even fit inside a 25 gallon. You'd need something at least 100 gallons to house one animal as they grow to 40" long.

They get bigger than that Ime, I would say a tank of about 300g would do them more justice. ;)

Btw a full grown Irridescent shark will probably need a tank of bigger than 600g or even bigger would be better.

They are not a suitable fish for a 25 gallon aquarium. Really in a tank that small any of the "shark" fish are not a great idea. Plus as ID Sharks age they need brackish water if I am not mistaken.

Try more like 3 1/2feet long and probably somewhare close to 24" tall. Basically, they get to be THE size of a 55gallon tank length width and height! 500-600gallons at least.

I think this is a mistake. Columbian sharks may need brackish to salt as they mature, but not ID's. They may fair well with a teaspoon of salt to their tanks as a preventative/med but not fully brackish.
