Watch 'em for a bit and see if any swim.
if they can swim, it's a shrimp.
if they can't, it's a crayfish.


I say crayfish.


EDIT:
Actually, it's not a straight up shrimp, straight shrimp don't have the large front claws.
Now Macro-Brachium on the other hand, do. (Means big/long arm).

It looks like a Crayfish to me. Also Shrmp are bottom-feeding too.

crayfish......definately a cray......oh and by the way........that plant is not aquatic......no matter what you do it will slowly melt if kept submerged.

It's a crayfish. It looks very similar to the Dwarf Crayfish I keep. That is a Ribbon Plant from PETCO it is on, and it is not aquatic. The strains they grow hold up well in water for a long time, but they are not aquatic and will eventually die.
