Sorry to hear about the ottos... when I had them in my 55 gallon they seem to dwindle on me as well.

Well, minor update on that. As it would turn out, they're all fine. I went down to the tank the other day right at the moment the lights turned on, and every single oto was on the glass.
I guess in the middle of the day they are all too busy with the plants.
