Sars and flytraps (IIRC) both grow well in a mix of 50/50 peat and pearlite. Generally, they're fine in standing water as long as the crown of the plant is out the water. It will probably be fine sitting in with the adelae.LOL I know.
I actually just picked up an unknown Sarracenia sp. from Lowes (for 5 bucks I had to). It's only label is "Purple pitcher" so my first guess is S. purpurcea but who knows.
Not exactly what I had in mind but it's something. They also had some VFTs and a sad looking D. adelae.
Are they like neps and need to be out of the water? Right now they are sitting directly in the water since they were somewhat dried up but I want to transplant them tomorrow into a larger pot. What should I use for soil? At the moment they are in 100% sphagnum but that is probably not ideal.
I have seen s. purpurea at Lowes labeled as "purple pitcher plants". My guess is that's what it is.
