pH, GH, and KH are pretty much inconsequential for goldfish. The things are important are the ammonia, nitrite and nitrate levels. In a cycled tank, these levels should be:
ammonia: 0
nitrite: 0
nitrate: as low as possible (less than 40 ppm is generally considered safe for hardy fish)
I had an algae bloom earlier in the week, and I've been struggling with it since. I had it cleared out with good looking water, and earlier today I noticed that my water is getting cloudy again, and I'm not quite sure what to do.
You are still in a cycle and ammonia is bad so you should do a large water change like 50% if you can and test it twice a day. I would guess the cloudy water could be a bacteria bloom.
I would until your ammonia and nitrites are at zero then do weekly or bi weekly water changes of 10-25%. Goldies can be very dirty fish and thats why you need to stay on top of the WC's IMO
I would keep up with water changes every day or two. Try to keep the ammonia under .25. It will probably take several weeks for the cycle to finish and after that point the water should clear up.
What size is the tank and what other fish do you have?
I have a 29 gallon Oceanic Biocube, I have a tiny plecostomus, which I've been made aware today is horrible for my goldfish. I only have the one Oranda.
I hate to say this but your Oranda will need a larger tank and probably soon as they tend to grow fast IMO. I will bet you will need to do WC's twice a week
