havamal, all my pleco breeding tanks are like that. i just moved the last one a coupla weeks ago. I took the versa glass top to the glass dealer, and had them cut 4" off one end. Then I went to Home Depot and bought an aluminum L shaped bar, which I cut to the inside dimension of the tank. Laid the glass cover on the bar, and presto. Works great. Much easier to get to for cleaning and maintenance of the filters. And it adds a little current to the front of the pleco caves. Thanx for the good words gang. I'll keep you posted.
