I ahva a question about my two calvus. The male is very dark black and doesn't come out very much still. But the femal, who comes out a lot more, tends to be more of a lighter gray to even white (still retaining the dark stripes) most of time. She does, however, turn dark at times. Is she possibly a white or pearly white calvus? And if so, will they breed as readily?

And this is the male. Sorry about the picture. Even with a good camera and flash, I couldn't get a good light on him.

She does get much lighter too.

It looks as if there the same variant.. one is possibly showing dominant colors due to dominance or showing light color due to stress.. if one comes out all the time and the other stays in or tucked away there could be compatible issues.. you may have to add another to equal the balance out.. my comps and calvus can be some punks aye..

the female is the lighter color though, and she comes out. That seems backwards.
