Its located on a 15gallon.

Is this more than enough?
Is it just enough?
what should I of gotten?
Is there a cheaper better light?

Thanks, I want ALL the info I can get on lights, I am very un-educated about them.

How can I tell what "k" they are (10,000k ect...)

What what does that mean?

What do you plan on keeping as far as corals go, that'll be the determining factor on whether or not those lights would be good enough or not for your setup.

A 15g is only 12" tall correct? In my opinion you can keep anything with that light. Maybe not a clam though, depending on species, but should be able to do some SPS and anything else for sure. The kelvin rating is the color temp of the bulbs. The higher the kelvin the bluer the bulb and the lower more yellow and reddish. That light should come with 2- 10000k bulbs and 2- actinic bulbs. I hope that helps.:)

I agree with cweber. It may be worthwhile later to switch the bulbs out for some brighter ones--I recommend ATI, UVL, and Giesemann T5 lamps.
