I am upgrading to MH lighting and found a clip on tank pendant at 150 watts 14k bulb. Does anyone have the clip on pendent lighting? Any thoughts? It is about a foot long so would not cover the 3 foot tank will the whole tank still have enough light for growth? Or would it be concentrated on the one foot space in the middle?

With one metal halide bulb, that would be enough to light 2 of the 3 feet tank length. So, you would end up with darker area's either side of centre. Personaly, i would go for a two bulb fixture to ensure even light distribution.

i have that fixture. i totally love it, but the ends of my tank are a little dark. my tank is a 30''' 29 gallon tank so if your tank is 3 feet i would suggest 2 fixtures. or you could use some small pc fixtures on the sides to compensate.
