Tank update

Here's a few updated shots from my tank. The 4 angels are doing great and continue to get bigger. Plant growth is great and the BBA seems to have been put in check. There's still tons on the driftwood, but as long as it's not spreading to the plants, guess I'm ok with it for now.

Bought tank 1 year ago...

This weekend is my 1 year anniversary of buying my 125 gallon tank. Hasn't been wet for a year, but bought it at a Super Bowl Sale at my local fish store and the journey began. Indulge me, here are some retrospective shots I've gathered up. Funny to see some of those old shots, things have sure grown.

Thanks for the kind words. Its been fun building the stand and watching the tank develop. Lots of things have gone well, other things not so well, and I've still lots of work to do. I've taken so many ideas from people on this and other websites, I'm very happy to give some back.

Oh no, what have I done...e.g. Stupid Super Bowl Sale

Well, I got sucked in for the second year in a row by the Local Fish Store Super Bowl Weekend Sale. Last year it was the 125 that started this whole build threat, and this year its a 75 gallon reef-ready tank. I've been contemplating starting a reef for several months now and doing some research along the way. Finally took the plunge and bought this 75. Here's a few quick shots of the tank and my progress on the stand so far. Looks familiar. Going to put there up in their own thread as well. Off we go again. Guess I couldn't figure out a way to spend money fast enough with just this tank!!!

I haven't posted anything here for a while. I've been busy building my stand for a 75 gallon reef tank. It's literally starting over again. From building new stand, figuring out hardware, plumbing, and supplies, to the flora and fauna, it's all new. I haven't forgotten about my planted tank, however. Ive done a little maintenance, moved some plants over from my 20 grow out, and bought a few more. Fish are great! Angels are getting huge. Here's a few update pics...first attempt with mobile iPad app, patron me if this doesn't work...
