Today I swapped out the newsprint paper backgrounds I had been using for matching blue gradients, and thought I'd take a few shots. things are filling in fast now, and I've been removing a lot of plant matter weekly.

you really should give it a go gamer, it's my favorite tank, by leaps and bounds, over all my others. I've been planning out a possible 30g south american tank, and I can't stop thinking about some sort of land mass, even though I have no real reason for it.

Glad I finally stumbled across this thread. Awesome tank Mellow! If I only had time/policy space for another one this kind of tank would be the winner.

The tank is doing well, but I don't have any recent photos... my camera was stolen and I haven't replaced it. I've now got 3 marbled hatchets, 1 silver hatchet, 1 adult male cherry barb, 4 cherry barb babies, 2 amano shrimp and about 15-20 crystal red shrimp in the tank. they're all very happy. the trees on the island area are now growing up into the lights, especially the weird spikey tree I grew from a clipping from some ikea tree. it's out of control, and shooting off new branches all the time.

I'm considering replacing this tank with a larger one, that I can better control the humidity in... something maybe with a misting system and a lot more landscaping.
