No - it was recommended that I use Excel even though I have Co2. The way that it was explained to me is that Excel does / has things Co2 alone doesn't.

seriously if you keep co2 at a good ppm then theres no need for excel, you are just wasting your $$.

Tank looks great though. I would love to see the plant growth in a week.

I was adding the Excel before I turned up the Co2 volume - old habits are hard to break (especially with the results). Thanks for the info BK - I will wean myself off the Excel (it will be hard, but I can do it).

Does anybody dose with Pfertz? If so, do you use it in combination with SeaChem or any other ferts?
