tap water, i cant do ro it is to costly, yes but wont a 75 be cheeper in the long run

Nothing is really cheaper in this hobby. With a larger tank it will cost more since it will take more to fill it and care for it.

The advantage of a larger tank is more water volume. You wont save money going bigger

Are you doing corals? If so then no. Even still I wouldn't use tap water, because of copper in the water.
