Yeah Maracyn 2 says it treats dropsy hope your betta makes it good thing you caught it early. Just saw the pic of Max is he the black betta? He is gorgeous!!!!!

Max is not doing any better but I don't think he is worse. This is the third day of treatment. I moved him to my 3 gallon Q tank so I can monitor him better. He is not eating but is responding to me so I am still hopeful. Thank you for your positive thoughts.

i have successfully treated dropsy on a goldfish using a combo of maracyn 1 and 2. although 90% of the time the fish wont make it. good luck.

Oh wow, no wonder it gets a 20g all to itself. I seriously hope I can find a betta that is even close to as appealing as that one.

I agree with jaysen, most fish are past treatment by the time dropsy appears...but it never hurts.

I'd do more research into it before you try but I've heard of Epsom salt baths working...
