In fact, they did spawn 2 days later lol. I am told by reliable sources that my water is too hard for the eggs to become fertilized. Nobody ate the eggs, and no fungus, but no babies, either. Apparently the hardness of the water makes the outside "shell" of the egg too tough for the sperm to penetrate.

What is the hardnes of your water? Mine is GH=220, KH = 60 which I am told is too hard. The 10 gallon is about to get about 40% RO water and 60% tap water and we'll try it again.

Out of the tap my water is practically nil on hardness. I increase hardness to 7 dGH, or about 120 ppm. Still fairly soft.
