Any LFS will have inexpensive black plastic background material, or you could paint the back of your tank if you wish.
The acrylic itself is blue. Could I put a background inside the tank?

might be easier to paint your eequipment than try to put a background inside. I would have tolook it up, but I think krylon makes a paint that is safe inside the tank once cured. Or you could leave it :D Once those plants fill in a little more, you won't be ablet o tell.

If you can't scrape the blue off the back (you say it's acrylic? ) then the best thing is to see if you can move the equiptment around and get the plants to hide it.
