Yea I thought so too bishop. The blue was kind of generic/cheesy looking. I kept some on the bottom to subsidize just because I only had one bag of the eco complete.

Thanks ayra. The betta is the best. Not a picky eater and gets along with everyone. He even swims around my hand when I'm doing stuff in the tank.

Thanks jm. I upgraded the lighting DIY. It really made them pop. If you look at the first pics and compare them to the ones with the piece of drift wood you can see the difference.

Yea the more you learn about the hobby definitely adjusts your ideas about how your tank should be set up.

Hmm..i'm surprised that this got updated..... If you don't mind me asking,what size tank is this? I think it looks like a 20 gallon high,would I be correct?

Yea I was out of the hobby for a while. I'm not sure about the exact tank size but based on the dimensions I think it's a 37 or 38 gallon tank. It's 36" wide by 12" deep by about 20" tall.
