there's not enough room for 6 pictus in my opinion. i would say there's room for 2 at the most.
so get 2 pictus and one/two small/medium SA cichlids.

In a 4 foot tank I would be comfortable with up to 4 spotted pictus, they stay a bit smaller at 5-6". Don't get the 4-lined pims, they get 8-10".

IMO focus on true surface or mid-water dwelling fish, such as giant danios, rainbows, and congo tetras. mak sure they are at least 4" to avoid becoming pictus snacks.

and I agree that you should noly get two spotted pictus cats... beware the striped!

ok 2 spotted Pictus Cats.
5 upside down catfish? (reading they are nocturnal, and likes the top) or did I read that wrong.
8 Debauwi cats (Schooling fish for middle of the tank)

and call it a full tank.

?? Maybe add Brushy-nosed Pelco or two, I would have to get some driftwood in my tank, and learn to buy some veggies.
