Here's my 180g cichlid tank. I used to have fake plants in there but my oscar didn't like them, he kept pulling them apart so i removed them.

Well here is my 55. Its a start. I got enough filtration just not enough light (burnt out ballast). Once the snow melts Ill get more stone and get rid of the sandstone with the holes. Once the lighting is fixed Ill get more live plants. still trying to find cheap driftwood.

It houses a male jd and a male firemouth. More pics in my albums.

How do some of you get away with that many live plants in a cichlid tank? For that matter how do you get them to do that well? I've always had terrible luck with mixed plants in any tank.
