Update!!

So I finally purchased the tank and stand I ended up getting a 65g tank because it only cost $15 more and it fits in the same footprint so I figured why not.
I then ordered all my gear last night here's what I'm getting.

Filter: Fluval 404 Canister (rated at 340gph)
Powerheads: 3 Maxi-Jet 1200 (300gph)
Heaters: 2 ViaAqua 150W titanium
Skimmer: AquaC Remora

I've started to look into how I'm going to cycle the tank. I think what I'm going to do is put a thin layer of dry sand down and then I will fill the tank with freshwater and make sure everything is working. Next I'll mix the saltwater (this is the only time I'll mix in the tank, for water changes I have buckets to pre-mix)
3 - stabilize temp and salinity for a couple days
4 - add 45-50lbs of Live Rock (probably Fiji - seems to be most affordable)
5 - Cycle and Wait (lights off)
6 - 2-4 weeks later, add the rest of the sand 3-4" depth and aquascape
7 - Seed with live sand
8 - Wait some more, hopefully not so long this time
9 - Add sand sifting crew - wait a couple weeks
10 - Add some fish

How's that sound so far?
Oh yeah, it will be FOWLR with intention to add corals and anemones later on, so I'm going to pick fishes than can exist in a reef tank so in a year or two I can add on.
