New Biocube 8

Hello everyone...I just bought a biocube 8 a few months ago. I'm currently in the diatmos stage. I'm on week 6 now, and only have one clownfish. Here are a few pics...my LR has some red and purple...

Nice looking tank. How deep is the sandbed? Do you feel the clown has enough room?

The sand bed is roughly 2-3 inches deep....my clown is only a inch and half so yes i think she has enough room for now...plenty of room to swim. My first clownfish was kept in a 5g eclipse tank for several months until the 20g cycled and then we moved to a 55g then back to a 40g...http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nSkwLKX5G8c

Thanks for sharing the video and congrats on the new tank. The one thing I would mention is that you create some surface agitation to help facilitate gas exchange. Maybe you can point that return nozzle at the surface a bit or get a powerhead?

I would recommend more. Ideally the entire water surface is rippling. It doesn't have to be a wave but a good current is very important IMO. I think one of the new Koralia Evo Nano's (~425gph) would be a great PH for that tank.
