If your leaving the tank in somebody else's hands, you have to ensure that they are brought up to speed with doing tank maintenance like water changes etc etc else you will just return to a tank that has crashed and the biological systems in there will just fail, and that means money wasted as well as potentially things dieing in the tank....Even shrooms dieing due to lack of feed etc is cruelty...

Just an opinion of course.

But I've been reading posts on here where people have left tanks for months and months without doing water changes and having perfect water parameters. How is this done??
Thanks. And again, is there any special care I need to give to the shrooms??

so will 55 watts be enough for them, they will be up high in the tank to get the most light. This is about 3wpg; there will be both 10,000K and also Blue actinic 03.
