? on Fluorescent 10K bulb

Will 10K bulbs always give you a purpleish-white color? Will a 20K be more blue or just a deep dark purple. I really just want my tank to have a new look, right now my light is too white. Any help would be appreciated thank you.

10k and up are generally blue/violet. 6500-6700 are pretty white, <6500k tend to be a little more yellow.

i dont know but my 10k look bright white. i also have 6700k and both look white.

10k will be white, 14k and you start to get a blue color, 20k will be considerably blue. You could add another strip and put an actinic bulb, will compliment your current white light nicely.
