are opaline guaramis known to eat plants.. my plants are getting chewed up and I am sure its the 3 opaline's I have in there, only other fish I have is a dwarf puffer and a killifish, they are both new in the past week, its a 90g with lots of driftwood and quite a few plants, 15-18 or so.

If they are building a bubble nest to breed in then they may be chewing up the plants to attempt to secure the nest. Otherwise I have never heard of gouramii's destroying plants. Most fish will have a nibble here and there.
I have an opaline, it pays absolutely no attention to plants. They're omnivores though, mine eats algae wafers sometimes, so I suppose it's possible, what kind of plants?
