Hey this water is from Catilina Calif. is this stuff any good? I've bought 11 cases of this I hate mixing my own water so I thought this would be a good alternative? Anyone have any experience with this stuff?
there are two major natural water sources in California, theres that of Catalina and the other from Scripps Institute.
Both waters offer little to no supplementation in calcium or any other trace elements for that matter, and is recommended for use in FO or FOWLR tanks
with that said
heres the break down:
Catalina has been a staple of natural saltwater, but it is unfortunately harvested on the backside of the island where there is more boat traffic resulting in mediocre water quality. But it is cheaper. http://www.catalinawater.com/
Scripps water comes from the Scripps ocean institute down in San Diego. The water is taken out of the bay and prefiltered before delivery, giving slightly better water quality. http://sio.ucsd.edu/
I just bought 7 boxes today top fill up my new fowlr tank. I am lazy and figured this was convenient and all the parameters are already good. I will let you guys know how it works out in the next few days.
