Not that unusual...though IME, it means he is not getting his fair share of food. Have you tried feeding larger food pellets for it ad at night where it can make it to the bottom?

Nice pleco & setup. I think it's normal, some fish are just 'different' :) How big is your tank? I imagine it's gonna be kind of cramped when all those fish get to adult size.

Edit:
Actually, now that I've seen Rbishops post, I have to agree, the pleco's stomach does look a bit too flat.

Mine does the same, and bats the Oscar out of the way if he gets too close. :)



Try some sinking pellets, or even some big chunks of fresh veges to fatten the guy up a bit.

mine used to do that when hes was smaller i recently got rid of him tho he got to big and pooed to much

I believe that common plecs become more carnivorous with age. They are still omni-vores, but eat a lot more meat and flakes.
