i use the drip method for all newcomers, minimum of 2 hours.. if theyre particularly sensitive fish or if they look diseased or weak, i'll up it to 3 hours and add an airstone to ensure the water maintains a good oxygen level. tank to tank, i use the regular acclimation methods, more for pH acclimation since all my tanks are at a steady 78F.

This raises a question for me since I have 3 STs (the smart kind ;)) to move tank to tank. Ph identical, temp within 1 degree... should I go through an acclimation process or just "go for it"?

i would do a mild 30 minute acclimation with a cup introducing water every 5 mins.. if the params are very similar, its just a matter of making sure they have a taste of whats going on, you know?
