Protein skimmer

i need to choose a skimmer for my 55 gallon. I only have 90 but i will go up to 150. it cant be super big.I was thinking this one, also should my sump go skimmer,Bio-balls, refuge? or skimmer, refuge, filtration?http://www.drsfostersmith.com/product/prod_display.cfm?c=3578+4392+20033&pcatid=20033:huh::1zhelp:

Skimmer in the inlet section...then refugium.....then return.....

( note, no mention of bio-balls...lol )

I don't have any experience with that skimmer, so no opinion there...

I would agree.... skimmer ---> refugium ---> return
(and not using any bioballs)

If you need some additional biofiltration, some live rock / live rock rubble in the fuge will do just fine.

Should i make a separate section for the pump so sand doesnt get sucked up?

The return section is typically a separate section so that anything like sand or macroalgae does not get sucked into the return pump.
