That all depends - my first DPs I paid about that, but they were sexable and healthy and clean. My second batch came from a chain, much cheaper, tiny, poorly fed (effectively not fed), and had intestinal parasites. Guess which batch I consider cheaper overall?

I could have got my DPs from Petsmart for $2 each but end up paying $5 at my LFS for nicer looking fish. I think it was a better decision. No regrets.
