Okay, so we had our ramshorns in a ten gallon tank with 9 tetras, plants, and gravel.
we moved them to a 5 gallon tank with plants and gravel and they continued to breed.
then we refurbished all the tank with soil and gravel, more plants, and added a beta to the 5 gallon where the ramshorns now are, we also upped the temperature of the tank for the beta to about 80 degrees...
and the ramshorns have stopped breeding.
why? we love our ramshorns. we want them to breed.
once again the tank changes were:
added soil to the substrate
increased temperature
more plants (bananas, anacharis and sword)
added beta fish.
we figured they would love these changes.
are they just acclimating to the new environment? (it's been about a month and we have not seen any egg sacs or babies).
thanks!
