Beautiful tank, but if you are going with an amazon theme I would skip the rasboras since they aren't native amazon species. I personally would go with something like rummy nosed tetras or another larger tetra species.
Doh forgot my theme, "Amazon", your right... heh. *Scratch rasboras off my list*

:hitting:

I like the effect of the low lighting!
Yea, I'm loving it too, but the main reason it's low it's cause of the floating Terminalia catappa blocking the light, it should sink in a few days, giving me the dry leaves on the floor of substrate.

I always wanted a branchy root theme, and after watching a couple of habitat videos of the amazon on Youtube ...

... that furthered my drive.

Again it's still a rough scape, a work in progress, and thanks for the comments. :D

Cool tank, I prefer the driftwood look myself and you've done a great job, plants in this kind of tank definitely don't belong.

Ginormous pics btw, your camera should have an options or format menu that allows you to choose the pixel dimensions.

Heh actually the dimensions on my camera was set to 4000x300 and the online image host I used already shrunk it. Sorry, I didn't know it was loading huge pictures, because when I load my forum post, it's resized...sometimes a couple pictures isn't but then I just hit refresh/reload and it resizes itself. I'm not sure if it's just me. I'll work on resizing my photo next time. Thanks for the heads up.

Nice tank!

I agree about the rasboras-if you want it to be Amazon themed, go with some tetras (I love cardinals) and maybe some cories if you're looking for bottom dwellers

Thanks for all the comments

Here is a couple more shots with a little bit more light, a couple more leaves sank. Didn't change anything yet.

I really like those leaves. Maybe someone at ACA will have some for sale and I can get them for both of my current setups
