Aside from the RCS, is there another kind of shrimp that's easiest to keep and breed? Preferably something markedly different from RCS.

Can't beat RCS. Others in mind would be Babaulti shrimp.

What about good types of plants? I currently have a sword, some anacharis, a crypt, and some dwarf sag planted, but I'd like to add some more. I'm a little leery of keeping the anacharis in there, because they grow fast and tall, and I don't want to have to be in there disturbing the shrimp that frequently. I have a relatively short tank as well, so something that would stay lower would be ideal.

EDIT: Forgot to mention I have a bit of java moss there as well. Can that be planted in the sand for a carpet-like effect or is this not recommended? It's attached to the lava rock right now.
