Jacki, in the first picture can you explain to me how the land area on the right side was made? Is that some kind of styrofoam?

I see what you mean. I just took a piece of acrylic, cut it to the width of the tank and put it across the tank in the middle and siliconed it in. Then I took charcol, zeolite and someother kind of sand that has salt and calcium in it and put a layer of each and then put playsand in up to the top of the acrylic. Then put water on the other side with a small filter.
