Soil went anerobic when I was prepping it

Hi Guys

I was soaking my soil for preparation to add to my 240 gallon setup. It was too deep in the soak and now the soil seems really bad (smells like dung). Do I air it out to dry to fix the issue or is this soil ruined? Advice appreciated. Thank you.

The process of mineralizing soil usually involves a number of soak, and dry cycles because the process requires more oxygen than water can transport. So just do a few more dry cycles and it should be ok.
