spreed the vals out a little more. they will fill in faster and look like you have more.

Agreed with gamer. My Val's spread almost like weeds with good conditions. So if you have decent light and possibly ferts and or co2 it should not take long for them to fill in.

I just used pool filter sand for my 130... I began washing a bucket of it and noticed it was so clear it didn't seem worth the time. So... I just dumped it all in my tank as is and it barely got cloudy and even that cleared up over night. Fish are happy and well!

And the play sand did clear up super quickly it was like amazing on how quick it cleared
