I'll try and find some rocks that I can put in another tank and see if I can't some diatoms to grow. Hopefully they will grow quickly.

As for the NitrAtes at 40, this is a constant number in all my tanks. Everything is thriving very well.

Spot check revealed three. They are so small. Hard to pick up.

How about cucumber or zucchini? Do you think the small ones would rasp on these? Maybe blanch two pieces and cut into small pieces to scatter around the tank?

You can certainly try, I just wouldn't count on it as the only source of fry food.

Just did a spot check....baby's growing nicely. Two of them are nice and plump. Will try to get some pics tomorrow....if they stay still long enough. One of them was really working the leaves of the crypt jungle.
