that is an awsome jag looks huge even with the head shot. are they a different type of silver dollar or is it just a perculuar marking??

could that silver dollar be the large scale version of what my lfs called a tiger pacu?
maybe a hybrid between the fish below and a regular silver dollar.

Anything's possible...but I don't think hybridization is involved. I think it is just a breeding pattern. They can drop the pattern almost immediately when spooked.

I noticed some plants in your silver dollar pics. Are they real? If so, what plants have you been successful in keeping with SD's seeing that they are like aquarium lawnmowers.
