Hey just wanted to chime in here. I run 2 salt tanks, a 20g and a 55g. Both of them have no live rock at all, I just filter with HOB exactly as you would if a freshwater tank. The 55 I'm not sure of the stock because my brother has been taking care of it while I'm at college. I have the 20 here and have a false percula clown and 2 damsels in it right now. No problems with water quality so far. I run an aquaclear 50 as my filter and it does a great job, almost too good as it moves all the sand out from under the outlet of the water.

i have a 20 too and my aqua clear 50 doesnt move the sand. Do you have a DSB?
