The Tetra Color Bits are slow sinking. Some stay on top for awhile though.. Mine also didn't take to flake food. Blood worms, frozen but thawed, seemed to sink slowly like the Color Bits. I guess that's why they prefer it to flakes. Plus there's more 'substance' in the Color Bits compared to flake food. Maybe they just taste better than flake food too...Originally posted by elgecko
Joe....How long did it take for your discus to eat the tetra bits?
Mine do not show any interest in flake foods at all.
An average saltwater 125 gallon set-up costs more than I have spent on this Discus tank...Originally posted by Hans
man how much have you spend on freakin fish! ....
Thanks! I have almost found a good balance of light, CO2, and ferts to keep algae at a minimum. Well, at this time there is a good balance.... The lights are on around 9 hours daily.Originally posted by Captain Hook
..Your tank looks extremely healthy overall. Do you have trouble keeping it algae free with the high amount of light you have on the tank? How often do you do waterchanges?
