I'll be upgrading from a 25 to a 50 gal tank in the next couple of weeks.
I currently have a pair of angels, 3 blue gouramis, 3 giant danios and a gibbiceps pleco in the 25 and they will all be moving into the 50 once I have it setup and cycled. I'll shorten my cycle time by moving all the tank gravel, driftwood and filter over to the new tank.
I'm hoping to terrace portions of the new tank, once I figure out the best way to do it, and I will be live planting on and around the terraces. I want to use a sand as the main substrate and then use gravel on the terraces to plant in.
My question is with the added room in the 50 what other compatible tankmates could I put in? I'm thinking about pictus cats, cories or more danios? Or how about a fish I haven't mentioned?
Presently the tank specs are ph- 6.8, kh- <10, gh- 20 Amm- 0, Nitrite- 0
