I just bought an urchin 2 days ago, I acclimatised him right and the water seems perfectly fine, as the other fish, snails and such are doing fine. He was moving around last night, getting closer to some rocks, and this morning his spikes are falling out and he isn't responding to a gentle prod. Just want to know if I should be worried for my other creatures lives and the cause for his death.

Your urchin is dying, you must take it out of your tank to avoid problems of poisoning your fish, it's probably due to the chemical conditions of the water, according to some of your topics, I see that you can probably be starting in marine aquariums, I invite you to upload a sample of a photo of your tank, tell us what parameters you drive and what equipment you have to see how we can help you.
