well, honestly the fish came from a divorced home and the spouse who had him was not into fish.
he was in a fish bowl with no filtration, air, or anything (not even plants or substrate) when I got/rescued her.
I make sure to change about half the water every other day and also I make sure that I control the feedings so that nothing is left over. I have never had a fish with a problem like this, I have noticed that the fish is VERY active little guy and seems more energized than when 1st brought home. thanks for the input, I have marine salt but I did not want to make it a brakish or marine tank... what could I use to help with the velvet/cotton mouth problem?
